Racist Head of New York City’s Police Union Spits on the Graves of Murdered Police Officers Before They Are Even Buried — Exploits Their Deaths to Attack the Mayor for Not Backing Cops Who Kill Unarmed Civilians

It's was almost inevitable that the media and New York City's racist police union would attempt to blame the mayor and police brutality protesters for "creating an anti-police atmosphere" instead of placing the blame where it belongs — on bad policing and the killing of unarmed civilians.—Ronald David Jackson

Racist strategists within New York City's police union were prepared to exploit the deaths of police officers long before any of them were killed in the line of duty. They circulated a petition demanding that the mayor not attend police funerals. The racist police union wants to return to the "good old days" when police could torture, "Stop and Frisk", fire dozens of bullets at unarmed men, and target minority youth with the full backing of the mayor.

Police Union Gets Nasty With De Blasio: Don't Attend Our Funerals, Mayor

By Gothamist
We knew that Mayor Bill de Blasio has had somewhat of a rocky relationship with the police unions in recent months—apparently not adamantly defending the Eric Garner grand jury decision was like stabbing the NYPD in the back?—but things took an even uglier turn Friday. De Blasio's comments on the Garner decision and recent efforts to reform and retrain the NYPD has led one prominent police union to ask members to sign a pledge requesting that neither de Blasio nor Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito attend their funeral if they're killed in the line of duty.

Last week, PBA president Pat Lynch said that de Blasio didn't give police officers enough respect: "What police officers felt yesterday after that press conference is that they were thrown under the bus,” Lynch said after the Garner grand jury decision, in particular criticizing de Blasio for his comment that he told his teenage son to be careful around cops. "That they were out there doing a difficult job in the middle of the night, protecting the rights of those to protest, protecting our sons and daughters and the mayor was behind microphones like this throwing them under the bus."

Statement Released by Baltimore Police Union Indicates Unions Were Prepared To Launch Coordinated Anti-Protester Propaganda Attack the Moment Any Police Officer Was Killed

The men and women of the Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 3, are appalled by the assassination of Officers (Rafael) Ramos and (Wenjian) Liu in New York City yesterday. We pray for their brave souls and for their friends and family who are so suddenly suffering such a tragic and horrific loss. This senseless murder of two of New York’s finest further exemplifies the dangerous political climate in which all members of law enforcement, nationwide, now find themselves. Not since the political unrest of the 1960’s have police officers been so targeted.

Once again, we need to be reminded that the men and women of law enforcement are absolutely the only entity standing between a civilized society and one of anarchy and chaos. In that position, we should be supported in our efforts, with continuous diligence, by a strong political leadership. Unfortunately, recently, that has not been the case. Politicians and community leaders from President Obama, to Attorney General Holder, New York Mayor de Blasio, and Al Sharpton have, as the result of their lack of proper guidance, created the atmosphere of unnecessary hostility and peril that police officers now find added to the ordinary danger of their profession. Sadly, the bloodshed will most likely continue until those in positions of power realize that the unequivocal support of law enforcement is required to preserve our nation.

This is an extremely difficult time to be an officer of the law; however, the members of the Baltimore Police Department are professional law enforcement officers who have received some of the best training available. We will continue to do our jobs with integrity and purpose and ask that the citizens of Baltimore, and their political leadership, work with us to restore the order necessary for their own safety and for ours, as well.
The Fraternal Order of Police in Baltimore
