| Mass vaccinations are given credit for a steep decrease in outbreaks
of deadly diseases. But these charts show that these disease out- breaks had already run their course by thetime "medical measures" like vaccines (see arrows) were introduced. Ronald, maternal deaths during childbirth were going down before the ACA was enacted. Does that prove that the ACA is unnecessary? Or does ?t just reflect the fact that over the years the increasing availability of hospitals, medicines, doctors and new techniques were decreasing maternal deaths historically before the ACA was passed, and the ACA can help that trend?
If you could prove that vaccine illness went UP along with the prevalence of vaccines, that would be scary. Likewise, if you could prove that infant mortality was increasing with the implementation of the ACA, that too would be scary.
Drownings were decreasing before swimming lessons were started, so swimming lessons are unnecessary? Auto deaths were decreasing before air bags were required, so airbags are unnecessary. That doesn't follow and the fact that someone would rely on that argument casts doubt on the whole antivax movement, in my mind.
It seems doubtful that the decrease in disease before vaccines were introduced was due to "increasing availability of hospitals, medicines, doctors and new techniques" since as you can see from the charts, the plunge in disease rates happened at different times depending on the disease -- Some disease rates plunged as far back as 1930s, others as recently as the 1950s. (See: Vaccines — Did They Really Reduce Disease?: Disease Rates Plunged Before Mass Vaccination Programs (Study))
As far as proving "illness went UP along with the prevalence of vaccines" there is no question that it did: "As the rate of autism has grown at epidemic proportions during the last two decades, the number of childhood vaccines containing thimerosal was growing, increasing the amount of ethylmercury to which infants were exposed threefold." (See: Health Effects of Vaccines: 'Mercury in Medicine' — Investigative Report Published in the Congressional Record)
Now if the you want more support for your position, the first thing you should do is stop using conspiracy labels like "anti-vaxxer". The second thing you should do is help confront the issue of the promotion of flu vaccines that have no proven efficacy or safety (See: Are Flu Vaccines Tested and Safe?: The Insert That Comes With The Flu Vaccine Might Shock You), and you need to join in confronting the cover-ups (See: Vaccinations: Deadly Immunity — Government Cover-up of a Mercury/Autism Scandal by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Study Linking Vaccinations With 340% Increase in Autism in Black Children Censored Out of Existence).
Once there is full disclosure and transparency in the realm of vaccines, I'm sure the growing resistance to them will begin to diminish.
