David Duke Urges His Supporters To Volunteer And Vote For Trump

Former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke on Wednesday urged supporters to volunteer for the Donald Trump campaign, assuring them they'd meet people with "the same kind of mindset that you have."

David Duke, a white nationalist and former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard, is urging the listeners of his radio program to volunteer and vote for Donald Trump.

“Voting for these people, voting against Donald Trump at this point is really treason to your heritage,” Duke said on the David Duke Radio Program Wednesday, referring to Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. “I’m not saying I endorse everything about Trump, in fact I haven’t formally endorsed him. But I do support his candidacy, and I support voting for him as a strategic action. I hope he does everything we hope he will do.”

Duke then urged his followers to call Trump’s campaign headquarters to volunteer.

The No. 2 official in the Tulsa, Oklahoma sheriff's office resigned on Monday after documents were released accusing him of intimidating employees to promote a white reserve deputy who later killed an unarmed black man, according to the Tulsa World newspaper.

Undersheriff Tim Albin’s resignation, which will be effective at the end of the week, was announced by Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz during a board of commissioners meeting, the newspaper reported.

"Given the gravity of the current situation ... he agreed that maybe it's time for a change," Glanz said. "I will continue to examine my organization, and there will be more changes in the coming days as I work to restore the integrity to the Sheriff's Office which the public has come to expect.”

The reserve deputy in question, Robert Bates, fatally shot the unarmed black man, Eric Harris, on April 2 when, according to the deputy, he mistook his gun for his Taser. Bates was charged with second-degree manslaughter and pleaded not guilty.

It has also been revealed that the New York Police Department officer who was filmed putting Eric Garner in a chokehold has had two prior civil rights complaints against him. One resulted in the city paying $30,000 to two men who were unlawfully strip-searched. The other lawsuit, which is still pending, alleges an unlawful arrest.
